Sorry dear readers, it’s been a while since I have published a post.
That doesn’t mean that I’m not tumbling and polishing stones, because I am. In fact I have just about run out of Gemstone Beach and Slope Point stones to tumble! Not to worry, my good friend JP (author of the awesome TumblestoneBlog) will be in Southland later in March. I hope to be joining him on a few rockhounding trips!
The stone shed has also had an upgrade over the Christmas/New Year break. You may have seen this instagram reel when it was first built. Now it has had an extension built on. That means more space, a purpose built workshop bench for my drill press and Dremel 4230 (happy birthday to me) plus more room to display my favourite rocks both natural and tumble that I have either collected myself or ones that have been given to me that are special.
When I get a chance I’ll add some photos to this post of the extension. If you can’t wait, please check out my instagram feed: https://instagram.com/tumbleandpolish where you’ll find more info on the new spaces and what else I’ve been up to in the stone shed. Spoiler alert – I’ve been learning how to make toki, but more on that adventure later!
Thanks for stopping by. I just had to jump on the latest AI craze – caricatures of yourself at work – enjoy!
